THFHT provides nurse-led respiratory illness clinics from October to March every year in our Campbellford and Warkworth clinics.
Clinics are for THFHT patients only.
Cough, cold, flu season 2024/2025
THFHT Respiratory Illness Clinics are for THFHT patients experiencing symptoms of cough, sore throat, earache, sinus pain, prolonged fever and other symptoms of respiratory illness.
If you aren't sure about your symptoms, call 811 to speak with a Nurse. Please reserve Hospital ER's for severe illness or emergencies.

You must have a Campbellford physician or nurse practitioner to access Campbellford Respiratory Illness Clinics. If you are a patient of Drs. Read, Sheps, Williams or NPs Bennett, Dalby, Deviney, Lewis or Robichaud, please call (705) 653-1801 to request an appointment with the respiratory clinic. You may receive a call from nursing before you are seen.
If you think that you may have COVID, please alert booking staff when you call.
All people attending THFHT clinics must wear a clean surgical mask over their nose and mouth at all times.

You must have a Warkworth physician to access these clinics. If you are a patient of Dr. Parks, call (705) 924-1239. If you are a patient of Dr. Beyls please call (705) 924-2230 to request an appointment with the RN. You may receive a call from the nurse before you are seen .

The Ontario government has online COVID self-assessment if you have symptoms of illness or tested positive for COVID-19. Testing can be taken for children or others. You will get a recommendation on what to do next. For workplace screening purposes, you can print off or email your results to your employer.
The self-assessment is meant as an aid and cannot diagnose you. You may need to seek assessment from a health care provider. For medical emergencies call 911. For non-emergencies call 811 to speak with a Registered Nurse 24 h/ day, 7 days/week.

COVID vaccinations are for all people living in Ontario over age 6 months. You do not need an Ontario Health Card to get a COVID vaccine. Vaccines are free.
All Trent Hills residents should contact their local pharmacy to get their free COVID vaccine booster or attend a public health unit in their area.
Public health recommendations for the 2024/2025 season are to get a COVID vaccine and a Flu Vaccine at the same time if you are eligible and due for both vaccines.

Flu vaccinations are for all people living in Ontario over age 6 months. Vaccines are free.
Children 6 months to 2 years should book their flu shot with a THFHT nurse (THFHT patient) or local public health unit (no provider). All other Trent Hills residents should contact their local pharmacy to get their free flu vaccine.
Public health recommendations for the 2024/2025 season are to get a COVID vaccine and a Flu Vaccine at the same time if you are eligible and due for both vaccines.
THFHT patients who are not eligible for a COVID vaccine and are not able to get a flu vaccine from their pharmacy, can book with the nurse at their THFHT clinic. To learn more about Influenza and Influenza vaccines and the Ontario government Influenza program, click here.

RSV vaccines are now publicly funded for:
- infants born in 2024/2025
- children, <24 months and high risk
- pregnant women between 32-36 weeks gestation,
- people 60 years of age and older and high risk (e.g., living in long-term care).
RSV vaccines are not publicly funded for everyone else but people over 60 years can purchase the vaccine or access via private insurance if they have it.
RSV vaccines can be given at the same time as other seasonal vaccines such as COVID or flu vaccines or separated by 2 weeks.
RSV vaccines can NOT be given by a pharmacist. THFHT patients can book with the nursing stations to get their shot. To learn more about RSV click here.
Vaccinations for people with no Health Care Provider
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR) provides routine immunization clinics for people of all ages without a local Health Care Provider. Clinics are available by appointment only. You can book online or call HKPR at 1-866-888-4577 x 1507. Clinics are scheduled in Campbellford, Port Hope, Lindsay, and Haliburton and are free. HKPR clinics are for routine immunizations only and do not include travel vaccinations. THFHT formally recognizes the traditional keepers of this land and, specifically our neighbours of the Alderville First Nation, with a formal territorial acknowledgement. We reside on the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. On these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg
