THFHT Registered Nurses (RN's) specialized in children’s growth, development and immunizations provide children with an exceptional level of care.

Appointments are booked according to a guideline-based schedule to ensure that your child is meeting appropriate milestones and receiving routine immunizations.

RN's also address parent concerns and connect you with any services that you or your child may need. This program is for children aged 0 to 6 years.

How to book Children's Health Program Appointments?

Call the clinic where your provider is based (Campbellford, Warkworth, Hastings).
Referral from your provider is not required as long as you are a THFHT patient.

THFHT also has patient resource pages with information on reproductive health and healthy living on this website . These pages can be viewed by anyone, not just THFHT patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be referred to this program by my provider (doctor or NP)?

No. THFHT patients /parents can call the clinic themselves and book an appointment.

If I prefer to see my doctor or nurse practitioner, can I still do that or do I have to book with the Children's Health Programs?

You can still book appointments with your doctor or nurse practitioner provider. Some doctors or NPs may encourage you to book with the nurse-led programs as their care is expert and excellent. Accessing nursing care is the best use of our team of professionals.

If my child is over 6 years of age can I book an appointment with the well-child program?

No but you can book and appointment with your health care provider (doctor or nurse practitioner).

Are there other programs where adults access screening & care?

Yes. We have a Screening & Prevention program where men and women aged 50 to 75 years can book with an RN. We have other programs, such as Heart and Lung Health and Older Adult Primary Care, where THFHT patients can book appointments with an RN. What is a THFHT patient?

A THFHT patient is any patient who is enrolled to the practices of Dr. James Read, Dr. Dan Sheps, Dr. Paul Williams, Dr. Kelly Parks, Dr. Emily Beyls, Dr. Elias Maraghi, NP Samantha Dalby, NP Laurie Deviney, NP Carole Robichaud, NP Stasia Bennett, NP Colleen Lewis.

I don’t have a primary care provider/am not a THFHT patient/am on a waitlist to join THFHT. Can I still book with the THFHT Women's & Children's Health Program?

Unfortunately, no. However, you can visit the page on this website for people who are not a THFHT patient and read about how to access screening tests elsewhere. Please visit 'Not A THFHT Patient'.

THFHT formally recognizes the traditional keepers of this land and, specifically our neighbours of the Alderville First Nation, with a formal territorial acknowledgement. We reside on the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. On these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg
